Since the 1990s, Snoop Dogg has been known as a gangsta rapper with an affinity for cannabis. And while he can still drop a verse with the best of them, these days, he’s also a sweet granddad who loves spending time with his grandchildren.
The rapper is getting ready to head across the pond to cover the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris for NBC. But before he does, he made some time for a pretty pink tea party and some French lessons with his five-year-old granddaughter Cordoba.
“Paris @nbcolympics is only a few months away yall!! 🇫🇷 So I called my granddaughter Cordoba to help me learn a few words,” Snoop captioned the April 23 Instagram post.
In the clip, the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper is seen sharing candy and imaginary tea with his granddaughter while she helps him with some basic French vocabulary, translating words like “ice cream,” “Eiffel Tower,” and “goodbye.”
Cordoba is just one of Snoop’s 12 grandchildren. In a January 2024 appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” he admitted that each of them has a little piece of his heart. Snoop also shared the story of how his oldest grandchild, Zion, came up with his nickname.
“He used to call me Papa Noop, because he couldn’t say Snoop, so he started calling me Papa Noop. And then as time went by, he learned how to say Snoop, so now I’m Papa Snoop,” he said.
Judging by the comments on Snoop’s post, it looks like Cordoba is stealing a little piece of our hearts as well.
