RGIII Sends Stern Warning To Dudes Who Jumped Cam Newton At His 7-On-7 Football Tournament
Robert Griffin III has issued a warning to the people who attacked Cam Newton on Sunday.
The former NFL quarterback was jumped by males appearing to be teenagers during a 7-on-7 tournament in Atlanta on Sunday and was shown defending himself rather impressively as he was able to fend off multiple assailants.
Griffin was not surprised to see Cam hold his own and even manage to keep his hat on given how hard it was to tackle the former NFL MVP when he played.
“Cam Newton led Auburn to a Natty with 1 O-lineman that started an NFL game and no one else recording a NFL reception, rush attempt or pass attempt,” he wrote on X. “He’s used to being a one man army, so you are delulu if you thought some guys jumping him was gonna phase him. Hat didn’t even move,” Griffin wrote on X/Twitter.
There’s been nothing on what started the altercation between Cam and the teens, but he is expected to join Cam’ron and Mase on their ‘It Is What It Is’ podcast sometime this week and will likely offer details then.

BREAKING: Cam Newton Gets Into Ugly “7 vs. 1” Brawl With TSP Crew During Youth Football Game (VIDEO)
Back in 2022, former Carolina Panthers great Cam Newton partnered with sports media giant Overtime to establish a new amateur football league, OT7.
OT7 features the nation’s top high school talent in seven-on-seven competition.
Footage has surfaced showing Cam Newton in the middle of a massive brawl that broke out. It is unclear if Cam was fighting or simply trying to break things up.
However, it does seem like one guy took a huge swing at him.
The chaotic video is only 18 seconds long and lacks much context.
You can fully expect that this situation will be addressed on his “4th & 1” podcast.
Newton’s mission statement for his 7 v 7 organization, C1N, promotes development for young athletes on and off the field.
“C1N is also committed to supporting the community through various initiatives and partnerships,” the statement read. “The organization’s previous ‘Newton’s Nuggets’ program provided mentorship and educational opportunities for young people, while its association with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America aimed to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among children and youth. As of recent we have steered directions and focused on the empowerment of young men in high school to ‘lock in’ on their skills inside and outside of football.
“Overall, C1N is a dynamic and innovative organization dedicated to supporting young athletes’ growth and development both on and off the field.”
Cam Newton has been an unrestricted free agent since March 16, 2022, and the former NFL MVP has not given up on his career.
