Content creator Davao Conyo (Phillip Hernandez in real life) refused to create parody content about the ongoing controversy involving Kapamilya stars Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, and non-showbiz personality Jamela Villanueva, emphasizing the need to respect others’ personal struggles.

The issue began on December 3, 2024, when Jamela Villanueva accused her boyfriend, Anthony Jennings, of cheating during their nearly seven-year relationship. Jamela shared screenshots of private messages between Anthony and Maris, alleging a secret relationship between the two while she and Anthony were still together.

The revelation quickly became a trending topic on social media, drawing public attention and debate.

As the controversy unfolded, a fan asked Davao Conyo during a Q&A on Instagram Stories to create a humorous entry about the issue. The request read: “Make entry for Maris issue please. Hahahah. Looking forward.”

Instead of acquiescing, Davao Conyo used the opportunity to address the importance of sensitivity in content creation.

“Ante, hindi maganda yang pinagtatawanan ang may pinagdadaanan. Sana di mo ma-experience,” he replied.
