A couple who first met on the ABC dating show Better Date Than Never have become engaged at a Taylor Swift concert in Melbourne.
Olivia, 24, and Zach, 23, had their first date on the hit series in 2022, where they bonded over their love of Swift’s music.
During Taylor’s sold-out Eras Tour In Melbourne, Zach got down on one knee and proposed to Olivia.
He timed the moment perfectly during the singer’s hit song Love Story, as Taylor sang the lyrics, ‘He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring’.
Olivia was shocked, holding her hand up to her mouth and getting emotional as the crowd around them cheered.
Olivia told news.com.au that she had ‘no idea’ of what her boyfriend had been planning.
‘I thought they were making us a dance floor. I had a dance, a bit of a boogie, and I turned back around and he was on his knee proposing to me.’
‘I’m so happy. It was honestly really, really special,’ Olivia added.
The pair initially found a connection over their love of music on Better Date Than Never.
‘So what kind of music are you into?’ Zach asked Olivia on the dating series.
The bubbly brunette went to reveal she liked Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift.
‘Oh same here! Taylor Swift, she’s amazing. What’s your favourite song?’ he responded.
‘Shake It Off is one of my favourites,’ Olivia replied without hesitation.
‘What a banger, eh?’ Zach agreed.
The connection between the two Swifties was firmly established.
Swift is set to perform four shows in Sydney from Friday, February 23 to Monday February 26.
