Jamela Villanueva isn’t holding back anymore. Jamela or Jam for short, who came to light this year as Anthony Jennings‘s longtime girlfriend, has revealed her side about her breakup with the actor.
A few hours before midnight on December 3, 2024, Jam shared a controversial exposé on her Instagram Stories, revealing what had apparently happened in her relationship with Anthony throughout 2024. And Maris Racal allegedly played a big part in it according to Jam’s uploaded photos and captions.
Cosmopolitan Philippines has reached out to Anthony & Maris’ management for a statement regarding Jam’s Instagram Stories and is awaiting a response.
The photos aren’t just any photos though. Jam uploaded screenshots of Anthony and Maris’ supposed conversations that reportedly indicate an intimate relationship between two people who are supposed to be just workmates. Jam’s Instagram Story opened with a selfie where she shared that she was feeling shaken after watching videos discussing the idea of staying silent to keep the peace. In her following posts, she delved into her perspective on Anthony and Maris’ alleged off-cam dynamic, offering her own take on the situation and what she believed was happening.
“I’ve been trying to hold myself together through everything that’s been happening,” she wrote at the beginning of a lengthy statement on IG Story. Jam expressed that she’s standing her ground after experiencing backlash, not just against herself, but against her family.

Before anything else, Jam clarified how supportive and happy she was when Anthony got his break with Maris after becoming his love team partner. Jam said, “When Maris came into the picture, I was genuinely happy for you both. I even chose to be supportive, despite the red flags I couldn’t ignore. I respected your craft. I believed in you both. But betrayal like this cuts deep.”

Dated June 28, 2024, Jam captured a series of messages supposedly between Anthony and Maris. The messages appear to show a contact named Maris presumably chatting with Anthony, asking if they could delete their messages. Jam detailed in her IG Story that the conversation allegedly occurred when Anthony and Maris were both staying in a hotel for a brand launch.
Another screenshot that Jam revealed was Anthony—whose contact she says is saved as “Michael” on her phone—talking about how he was restrained to live a free life because of his work. He highlighted what he calls “method acting.” Anthony can be seen telling Jam, “Mahirap. Mahal kita. Tapos kailangan kong gawin ‘to. Parang nakapako ako sa pader. Masakit siyempre. Miss ko buhay ko eh. Pero wala di gagana ‘to pag ‘di ko gagawin ‘to.”
Jam explained the screenshot with, “I’m not sure if you’re familiar with method acting, but this was something he kept emphasizing to me. He explained that he needed to make her feel loved and appreciated because she was going through something as well. He believed that showing her care was the only way to make their work go smoothly and for his partner to function well.” At the time, Jam was all in for Anthony’s work, encouraging and supporting him to do what’s best for his craft.

In another conversation, Jamela claimed that Anthony has admitted to kissing and making out with Maris outside of their work. Jam then recalled a moment that allegedly happened during a party. “Context: ‘yung ‘that was hot’ nag-party sila niyan… I confronted Anthony about it and he told me na hinila daw siya sa CR ng girls and they started making out. I asked him why did he let her, he just said, ‘Ayoko lang maramdaman niya na parang ayaw ko siya kasi may trabaho kami bukas.'” Jam wrote that she forgave him at that moment and declared that she continued to trust him despite that major hiccup in their relationship.

Tbh, Jam revealed more receipts than we expected. The girl came prepared and she delivered almost everything she had to say about their separation. She shared photos of what appeared to be messages that Jam claims to be between Maris and Anthony. The photos included a pic of a woman in bed (her face obscured with an emoji), and a message that seemed to show her asking for “baby kisses” from Anthony.
There were more photos of a couple seemingly kissing inside a plane. Jam explained these in her caption, saying, “These were the photos that shattered my heart into pieces. This is the other side of the story—the photos that she posted in her story, where people started attacking me, saying that the photo was just “fan service” and that I was overreacting. I even asked Anthony about it, and he brushed it off, saying it was nothing.”

Jam Villanueva’s breakup with Anthony Jennings
It was just over the weekend that Anthony confirmed his breakup with Jam, telling the public that there were private matters that they couldn’t solve which led to the end of their relationship. Moreover, he clarified that he only treats Maris as a friend and nothing more. “Magkaibigan lang po kami and sana matigil na rin ‘yung mga ganong issues,” the actor declared.
Jam claimed that she tried to separate from Anthony as quietly as possible. However, as someone who’s hurting, she found her TikTok reposts as a way to release the pain. Jam shared a screenshot of Anthony begging her to stop reposting cryptic posts related to relationships. Anthony’s supposed messages to Jamela read, “Ako nalang sirain mo love. Mag-usap nga tayo. Sinabi na niya sakin. Di na siya lalapit sakin. And I promise you wala na din. Tinapos ko na. So, please. Kung ano man yan, itigil mo na yan.” The message was dated October 1.
Two months later, here is Jam exposing her side of the story with a farewell message to Anthony. She’s closing this chapter of her life with him. Despite everything that presumably, she thanked Anthony for being her best friend and life partner for nearly seven years. Jam also disclosed that they have lived together in the past. She conveyed, “Thank you for being there for me through the hardest times in life. You’ve brought a life into mine that I never thought I could have, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.”
She continued, “Happiness was all I ever wanted for you, in our years of living together. I never imagined I’d have to let you go, but I did—so you could grow and find happiness on your own.”

By the end of Jam’s IG Stories, she also left a message to all the girls out there. “To all the women reading this, don’t be like me. It took me three long months to finally accept that I was just ignoring the reality of the situation.”
Jam gracefully admitted her mistakes and her telling her story in this very moment was her trying to learn from it and teach everyone else a lesson. “I allowed this to happen because I thought it was the best way to support them both. Most importantly, I trust my partner and her—as a woman.”
