Actor Janus del Prado has shared his thoughts on the public apology made by Anthony Jennings regarding his involvement in the ongoing controversy with Maris Racal and his ex-girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva.
The issue began after Jamela shared screenshots of private conversations between Anthony and Maris, which revealed that the two were more than just friends. In response to the drama, Anthony posted a video on the Star Magic Facebook page, where he issued an apology to Maris, Jamela, and everyone affected by the situation.
“Sa lahat ho ng mga nangyari nung nakaraang araw, sa lahat ho ng mga taong nasaktan ko. Especially po si Maris ‘tsaka si Jam, humihingi ho ako ng tawad sa dalawang babae and sa lahat po ng mga nadamay ko rin po,” Anthony said in the video.
Maris Racal also responded to the issue, admitting that she developed feelings for Anthony and offering an apology to her supporters. “I am sorry that you got to see the very intimate side of me. Ganoon talaga ako kapag nagbigay ng pagmamahal,” Maris said, adding, “For 10 years, alam nilang lahat na ginapang ko yung career ko… Pinaghirapan ko lahat sa tulong nila.”
In light of these developments, Janus del Prado posted his opinion on Threads, where he shared that while he disagreed with Anthony’s actions, he appreciated that Anthony took full responsibility for his mistakes.
“Yung mukha mo nung iniwan ka niya sa ere at itinapon sa ilalim ng bus nung nagkabukingan na. Di man ako agree sa ginawa niya pero I kinda feel bad for him. I like his public apology. Straight to the point. Walang sinisi na iba,” Janus wrote.

He further praised Anthony for not resorting to excuses or playing the victim, instead owning up to his actions. “In short, he held himself accountable sa mga ginawa niya. Di siya nagpavictim to avoid accountability. Sana all,” Janus concluded, expressing his admiration for Anthony’s straightforward approach to the situation.
