It’s a popular opinion that the UFC is the best and the toughest MMA organization to compete in become a champion at. An MMA athlete literally goes through a death-row to become a UFC champion. There have been several contenders and UFC champion in the organization in the history of the company.

There are some fighters who have spent decades in the world of MMA and UFC just because of their sheer lack of passion and love for their beloved sport. A surprising statistic was doing rounds on the internet about four legends of the game namely Max Holloway, Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira, and Justin Gaethje.

MMA statistic impresses fans before UFC 300

The UFC will complete 31 years of its existence this calendar year. Its been more than three decades in since UFC 1 took place. The next months the landmark event UFC 300 will take place in the city of Texas. Before the historic event ESPN MMA posted a graphic which had the following caption. It said,

After #UFC300, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira would have all fought each other in the UFC 💥

The fans made it clear that it will be tough for the upcoming contenders in the featherweight and the lightweight division to live up to these legends of the sport. Many were anticipating a title fight of one of these veterans against the champion Islam Makhachev in the upcoming UFC events.

Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway lock horns the next month and the matchup is probably the most enticing one in the whole card. The two will scrap for the BMF title. Gaethje and Dustin Poirier have beaten each other once each. Whereas Oliveira has taken on and beaten both Poirier and Gaethje when he was the champion in the company. The Brazilian lost out to Max Holloway a couple years back and Holloway lost against Poirier.

It’ll be intriguing to see who comes out on top the next month at UFC 300.
