Mark Wahlberg is soaking in the sunlight on vacation.

The Family Plan actor, 52, was spotted out showing off his toned body while spending a day at the beach on a tropical holiday vacation in Barbados. He and his family arrived in the country just before the Christmas holiday for some rest and relaxation, according to the Daily Mail.

In photos taken of the star, he could be seen walking on to shore after a quick dip in the ocean in black swim trunks and black shades. He could be seen also wearing a black watch on his left wrist and some black bands on his right.

Wahlberg opted to go shirtless for the beach outing putting his muscular physique on full display in the shots — something the actor has been working for even through vacation.

In an Instagram video he posted earlier this week, he could be seen at the gym showing off his clothing “drip” along with his toned abs and arms after appearing to complete a workout. In the caption for the video, he told his over 27 million followers that he took “no days off” and encouraged them to not “wait until the new year” to get into shape.

Wahlberg previously told PEOPLE in September while promoting his F45 studios workout week  that his mindset has changed when it comes to staying in shape, saying, “before it was about aesthetic” and “now, I want to live a long time.”

He said he’s even incorporated working out into his morning routine, which kicks off at 4 a.m. with getting some food, prayers and reflections in and “then I’m in the gym, and all that stuff is done.”

Mark Wahlberg Is On A Workout Mission

The Uncharted actor said that despite having thoughts about skipping the gym “almost every day,” he also knows he’ll be in much worse shape if he shirks his daily routine.

“I know what the feeling is going to be like after. That’s hard to duplicate,” Wahlberg said.

“If I cut corners, then I can’t be at my best,” he added. “Everything that I’ve done, that I’ve been successful at, is done by doing the work.”

He’s even extended his new workout ethic to others, giving a supportive message to people who may not be sure about starting an exercise routine.

“I encourage everybody, even if you just work out for 10 minutes, you’re going to feel better. We’re all very fortunate and blessed. You want to live as long as possible,” he said. “You want to be able to move, and certainly, you got to do it.”
