With no details revealed about Dogg’s role, the new Netflix film will feature Foxx as a hard-working father who just wants to give his quick-witted eight-year-old daughter a good life.
However, his mundane job cleaning pools in San Francisco is just a front for his true source of income – hunting and killing vampires as part of an international hunters’ union.
The film marks the directorial debut of J.J. Perry, a second unit director and stunt coordinator, who has worked in both roles on recent productions such as “Skyscrapers,” “Bloodshot,” and the upcoming film “Fast & Furious 9.” ” and in films from the “John Wick” franchise, by Chad Stahelski, who this time reunites with Perry as producer.
The script was written by Tyler Tice, with current revisions by Shay Hatten, screenwriter of “John Wick 3 – Relentless” and the upcoming “John Wick: Chapter 4”, as well as another Netflix film, “Army of the Dead”, by Zack Snyder, which premieres May 21 on Netflix.
