Despite having to play with one less player, the Uruguayan team still excelled in defeating Brazil to become the last name to enter the semi-finals of Copa America 2024.

Uruguay won 4-2 against Brazil in a penalty shootout after the two teams drew 0-0 in 90 minutes of regulation time.

Federico Valverde, Rodrigo Bentancur, Arrascaeta and Manuel Ugarte all converted their penalties to help Uruguay send Brazil home.

This result has brought Uruguay one step closer to the throne, to compete with Argentina in terms of titles (both teams have 15 Copa America titles).

Uruguay’s opponent in the semi-finals is Colombia, a team that is also performing very impressively in this year’s tournament.

In the quarter-finals, Colombia played brilliantly to win 5-0 against Panama, after goals from Jhon Córdoba, James Rodríguez, Luis Díaz, Richard Rios and Miguel Borja.

According to the schedule, the semi-final match between Uruguay and Colombia will take place at 7:00 a.m. on July 11 (Vietnam time).

Overcoming Venezuela in a lucky penalty shootout, the Canadian team advanced straight to the semi-finals of Copa America 2024 in its first participation and will meet defending champion Argentina again.

Previously, the first semi-final pair was determined, which is the reunion between defending champion Argentina and Canada, taking place at 7:00 a.m. on July 10.

In the quarterfinals, Argentina and Canada both won after nerve-wracking penalty shootouts. Argentina won 4-2 against Ecuador, while Canada beat Venezuela 4-3.
