On Wednesday evening, Al Nassr kicked off their 24/25 season with the Saudi Arabian Super Cup against Al Taawoun.

Ayman Yahya scored in the eighth minute before Ronaldo added a second with 57 minutes on the clock.

Reacting on social media, fans are adamant the five-time Ballon d’Or winner can reach 1000 career goals.

At the age of 39, the Portuguese is still going strong after he captained Portugal at Euro 2024.

However, his bid for a second Euros title was dashed after losing to France via a penalty shootout.

Speaking after the match, he admitted that his Euros journey was over.

As per O Jogo, he said: “It is, without doubt, my last European Championship. But I’m not emotional about that. I’m moved by all that football means — by the enthusiasm I have for the game, the enthusiasm for seeing my supporters, my family, the affection people have for me.

“It’s not about leaving football, because if I do, what else would I need to do or win? It won’t be about getting one more point or one less point. Making people happy is what motivates me the most.”
