Jude Bellingham’s goal celebration with Real Madrid three months ago PROVES same gesture after England win was no insult and UEFA probe is witch hunt against Three Lions hero

Jude Bellingham carried out the same X-rated celebration months ago for Real Madrid, proving that the gesture against Slovakia was no insult.

It will heap the pressure on Uefa’s investigation into the 21-year-old’s conduct during the last 16 Euros clash and raise questions the probe is a witch hunt against the Three Lions hero.

Gary Lineker has already slammed the ‘ridiculous’ probe which could result in Bellingham being banned from playing in England’s crucial quarter-final clash with Switzerland on Saturday.

The Real Madrid midfielder appeared to make a crotch-grabbing gesture towards the Slovakian dugout after scoring a stunning 95th minute equaliser in Gelsenkirchen yesterday to send the tie into extra time.

Bellingham was quick to quash any claims after the 2-1 win that it was directed at England’s opponents saying it was ‘an inside joke gesture towards some close friends who were at the game’.

Should Jude Bellingham be banned for goal celebration gesture?

Uefa announced today it is investigating Bellingham for a ‘potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct’ during the Slovakia game.

The player himself was quick to take to social media to point out that the act was an in joke aimed towards close friends who were in the stands. ‘Nothing but respect for how that Slovakia team played tonight,’ he added, on X.

Former England striker and captain Lineker fumed at the investigation while calls have been made to ‘take to the streets’ if Bellingham is ruled out of the crucial clash against the Swiss.

Lineker lashed out at Uefa’s investigation as he wrote on X/ Twitter: ‘For crying out loud, the @EURO2024 celebration police are looking into @BellinghamJude. Ridiculous!’

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone only received a £17,000 fine for making a similar gesture during his side’s last 16 Champions’ League game against Juventus in 2019.
