Former member of Miss Tres passes away

Angel “Conrado” Sangalang, also known as “Miss Uno” from the transgender singing trio Miss Tres, has passed away.

The news was confirmed by another group member, Mariko “Joselito” Ledesma, or “Miss Dos”, through social media posts over the weekend.

Miss Tres gained popularity in 2013 when they debuted on the ABS-CBN talent competition show Pilipinas Got Talent as and powerful singing group made up of three transgender members comprised of Sangalang, Ledesma, and Mia Narciso, who went by the stage name, “Miss Tres”.

The group gained popularity and captivated the judges with their stunning performance of Tom Jones’ classic hit “Sex Bomb.”

Their success on the show led to an invitation to perform on Asia’s Got Talent in 2016, where the original trio continued to make waves, representing the country with their unique blend of talent and style.

Tragically, that same year, member Mia passed away due to lung cancer.

Despite the loss, Ledesma remained determined to keep the group’s legacy alive. In 2018, she took Miss Tres to the stage of Britain’s Got Talent, where she introduced two new members, Crissy and Mavey.

Tributes were taken to social media by Angel’s friends and colleagues, with many remembering Sangalang’s contributions to the group’s journey and the joy they brought to audiences with their performances.
