WHAT HAPPENED?

Wright joined Leyton Orient last summer following a four-year hiatus from the sport after she was sacked by her previous side Charlton Athletic in 2020 for posting videos on Snapchat that saw her inhaling a balloon and drinking champagne at the steering of her car, videos labelled “not acceptable” by the Addicks. Following her sacking, the then-18-year-old became a model on OnlyFans, a portal for sharing adult content.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Following her success on OnlyFans, Wright decided to return to football with Leyton Orient last September. However, just months after putting out a statement that she was looking forward to improving with the side, the 22-year-old has now left Orient. She recently announced her plans to start streaming on platforms like Twitch and Kick.

WHAT WRIGHT SAID

On Instagram, Wright announced her departure and said: “To the club that supported me and allowed me to return to football after 4 years out I want to say a massive thank you.

“From the coaching staff, players and of course the fans, I’m incredibly grateful to you all. A special club with a bright future! For myself, the hard work continues…

“Thank you O’s.”

WHAT NEXT FOR WRIGHT?

The 22-year-old had earlier claimed that in her first year of offering adult content on OnlyFans, she earned over £500,000 ($640,000). Wright will now continue working with the platform and will also likely begin streaming on gaming platforms as her second profession.
