With one year remaining on his Manchester City contract, it’s been reported that Kevin De Bruyne has agreed terms for an exit.

Kevin De Bruyne has agreed terms for a potential Man City departure this summer, reports claim.

De Bruyne’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire in 2025, when he will be 34.

He has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, having been a target ever since a slew of elite players moved to the division.

And according to journalist Rudy Galetti, there is a “verbal understanding” between De Bruyne and Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad.

Kevin de Bruyne wasn’t happy with one journalist.

Club representatives and key members of the Public Investment Fund have reportedly spoke to De Bruyne and he has given the switch the green light.

Al Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte ply their trade, are also keen but Al Ittihad appear to have moved ahead.

The report goes on to add that City are open to letting De Bruyne, one of their greatest ever players, leave for a fee.

Goalkeeper Ederson is also being tipped to move to Saudi and De Bruyne has already said the “incredible amounts of money” at this stage of his career would be tough to turn down.

“For [my wife] Michele, an exotic adventure is OK,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws.

“These are also conversations that we are increasingly having as a family.

“I still have one year left on my contract, so I have to think about what could happen.

“My eldest is now eight years old and knows nothing but England. He also asks how long I will play for City. Once the moment comes, we will have to deal with it in a certain way.

“At my age, you have to be open to everything. You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.

“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that, I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet.

“Then you have to think about what that could mean next. But at the moment I haven’t had to think about that yet.”
