Man City is determined to use their ‘golden touch’ to secure the ideal replacement for Kevin De Bruyne if he leaves the club

The British press claims that Man City has selected the perfect player to take Kevin De Bruyne’s place after the Belgian midfielder departs Etihad.

De Bruyne’s Man City contract will expire at the conclusion of the 2024–2025 campaign.

That’s Jamal Musiala, a promising midfielder for Bayern Munich. Since making his Bavarians debut in 2020, the 21-year-old has shown promise, and Man City believes he is the ideal De Bruyne successor in Pep Guardiola’s lineup.

Musiala has a contract with Bayern that expires in 2026, and last season, negotiations were held to extend it. But thus far, everything has stagnated, leaving Man City vulnerable. Man City most definitely has the financial means to sign Musiala.

Man City will place Musiala under observation for the time being. Guardiola has stated that De Bruyne will not be leaving Man City for the summer. The Belgian international’s deal with Man City ends at the conclusion of the 2024–2025 campaign, and the team will not obstruct his desire to depart Etihad.

It’s also feasible that Man City won’t sign this midfield player until the summer of 2025, at which point Musiala’s Bayern deal will have just one year remaining. If nothing changes by then, De Bruyne could become a free agent and depart Man City.

Musiala was one of the best players in EURO 2024. The 21-year-old sensation scored three goals after making five appearances for the German team. Musiala possesses all the necessary skills to succeed as an attacking player, including excellent technique, ball handling prowess, tactical acumen, and decisiveness.
