According to the Guardian, West Ham are keen to sign N’Golo Kante this summer. The 33-year-old French midfielder left the Premier League for Saudi Arabia and Al-Ittihad in July 2023.

A year after his departure for Saudi Arabia, N’Golo Kante could return to Europe and more specifically the Premier League. According to the Guardian , West Ham’s directors have started discussions with Al-Ittihad for the transfer of the French midfielder.

A transfer worth 24 million euros?

Last summer, N’Golo Kanté left Chelsea at the end of his contract to sign with Al-Ittihad until 2026. Despite his departure to Saudi Arabia, Didier Deschamps was convinced by his performances and his physical level, selecting him for Euro 2024.

The 2018 world champion would be open to a return to England, after seven years at Chelsea and one season at Leicester. The amount of the transaction would be estimated at around 24 million euros. New coach of the Hammers, Julen Lopetegui would have long appreciated the Frenchman (33 years old). He already wanted to have him in his squad during his brief stay at Real Madrid.

Karim Benzema ‘s teammate at Al-Ittihad, N’Golo Kanté will be managed by Laurent Blanc if he stays in Saudi Arabia. The former PSG and OL coach recently signed. Troubled by injuries during his last months at Chelsea, Kanté remains on a season with 44 matches played at club level, all competitions combined.
