Just when things started to calm down when it came to bad vibes between Brandon Aiyuk and San Francisco, a major change appears to be on the way.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk sparked speculation last month when he sent a message to Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin that had people thinking a trade was in the works.

This month, Brandon Aiyuk is back at it, using social media to his advantage as fans quickly noticed that the wideout unfollowed the 49ers on Instagram. He does, however, follow the team on X.

This could be an indication that Aiyuk is unhappy with the team or that something is cooking behind the scenes, and a trade might be on the way.

Aiyuk, who will be in the final season of a four-year, $12.53 million deal during the 2024 season, has been putting intense pressure on the team to give him the contract that he deserves after he had an incredible 2023 season.

Unfortunately for the wideout, a contract extension has not come his way, and it appears the 49ers have no desire to do one.

26-year-old Brandon Aiyuk wants a long-term deal with tons of guaranteed money as he is coming off a career year in 2023.

Aiyuk posted the team in targets (105), receptions (75), and receiving yards (1,342) this season. He secured a second-team All-Pro nomination, and his 1,342 receiving yards ranked seventh in the NFL, via 49ers.com.

Unfortunately, the game plan changed in the playoffs as he totaled only nine catches for 149 yards in three postseason contests as the team returned to the Super Bowl to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs.

San Francisco selected Aiyuk in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
