Former NBA player Ben McLemore has been arrested following accusations of first-degree rape and other sex-related offenses.

McLemore, who made 64 appearances for the Portland Trail Blazers two seasons ago, was booked into the Clackamas County Jail in Oregon on Thursday.

According to KGW8 in Portland, the 31-year-old was apprehended on an outstanding warrant from said county before he was transported to jail.

McLemore is scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday afternoon in Clackamas County Circuit Court. He faces charges of first-degree rape, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse.

“The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said McLemore was arrested Tuesday morning on an outstanding warrant out of Clackamas County and transported to the Clackamas County Jail,” KGW8 reports.

“McLemore, 31, is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Clackamas County Circuit Court. He faces charges of first-degree rape, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse.”

Not much else is known at this point.

Ben McLemore Spent Nine Years In The NBA Before Moving Overseas

Ben McLemore played nine seasons in the NBA. He was the seventh overall draft pick in 2013, with the Sacramento Kings making him their first-round selection. He would go on to play for the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Lakers before a stint with the Blazers.

He averaged 10.2 points playing 20.1 minutes per game in Portland and moved overseas after the 2021-22 season. He played for teams in China, Greece, and Spain, with Rio Breogan of the Spanish Liga ACB his last team.

McLemore averaged 9.0 points per game through 556 outings in his NBA career.
