Led by the best quarterback and head coach duo in Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, the Kansas City Chiefs are the NFL’s current back-to-back reigning Super Bowl champs, and many consider the team the powerhouse of the NFL.

The team has enjoyed playing its home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium since 1972. However, after over 50 seasons at the stadium, it may be time for a change in Kansas City.

A host of FOX 4 News in Kansas City, John Holt, has reported that architect David Manica has designed a potential replacement stadium if the Chiefs were to move away from Arrowhead Stadium across state lines into Kansas.

FOX 4 News posted to X a picture of the stadium rendering. The caption read, “Some Kansas City officials have seen some renderings of what a domes new stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs could look like.”

Could The Kansas City Chiefs Be Moving Stadiums?

The renderings are extremely detailed and show four images, including what the stadium would look like on the inside during game day and outside where the stadium would be located. The caption of the post pointed out that the stadium would be located “near The Legends and Kansas Speedway.”

This could be a new era for the team, not that they really needed as the team has a record of 30 wins and 12 losses in the last five seasons, and the last thing the team needs is a new stadium to look good winning in.

It may be a good venture for the league to consider, and the Chiefs definitely won’t mind playing in front of their home fans in a brand-new stadium in a somewhat different location. Only time will tell if Kansas City officials will proceed with the motion to start building.
