Jamie Erdahl recently spoke on how she broke down in “petrified tears” amid the birth of her daughter, Nora James, in New Jersey on March 30.
On Monday, the NFL Network personality took to her Instagram and explained that she had to undergo an emergency C-section due to the umbilical cord being prolapsed and around Nora’s neck.
“To myself who thought everything was fine until it wasn’t,” Erdahl began on Instagram, where she shared photos from the hospital with husband Sam Buckman and newborn Nora.
Jamie Erdahl — who serves as a co-host on “Good Morning Football” — could be seen extremely emotional in the hospital bed as her child is being held to her face in one picture.
Another picture shows her all smiles as she watches her husband Sam Buckman hold their daughter. A third photo shows Jamie Erdahl sitting up and drinking a Starbucks drink.
A fifth photo shows their other children welcoming their new sister into the world while the last one has the baby taking a selfie for all the world to see.
“To my husband who met my petrified tears with calm and strength despite his own terror. To my nurse and her ability to identify a problem that got our healthy baby girl out 6 minutes later.”
She and her husband, Sam Buckman, are now proud parents of three children.
Jamie Erdahl Bidded A Temporary Farewell To ‘Good Morning Football’
Jamie Erdahl shared an emotional goodbye to “Good Morning Football” viewers last month. It was just a temporary one as she was moving on to give birth to her child.
Jamie Erdahl, who joined ‘Good Morning Football’ in 2022 and will continue with the popular NFL Network show as it shifts filming from New York City to Los Angeles, stated she will eventually move to Los Angeles and be back with the show.
“I’ve been so proud of playing this GMFB game here in New York City, the last 20 months,” Erdahl said. “The work, the creativity, the friendships, it’s been an honor, I’m proud of the person that I am when I sit in that red chair, and out of it. As a host as a wife, as a mom, and a daughter, I’m also really happy to say that I get to keep sitting in my chair … when Good Morning Football returns in Los Angeles.”
She continues: “This is a very hard time for many people affected by this decision to move the show, and all I can hope is for the people making these decisions, our executives at the NFL, our coaches, to not make these changes lightly and to do so with the best intention of keeping what people love about GMFB intact.
“The fact that it’s for people who love this game, and this league sitting around that big beautiful table, and the dedicated team beyond the table giving you everything we have got at night, and every morning. So I will see you from LA. But now I’m gonna go have a baby.”
Erdahl’s first reporting jobs were on the sidelines of Minnesota high school basketball games, which led to a job with New England Sports Network.
Erdahl first got her big start with CBS Sports in 2014 and then got promoted four years later to the top sideline reporter role for the SEC Game of the Week where she would be paired with play-by-play announcer Brad Nessler, as noted by BringMeTheNews.com.
