The devastating news for the New York Knicks is that Julius Randle will require surgery on his right shoulder and miss the remainder of the campaign. In response to inquiries over his three-time All-Star Julius Randle’s season-ending announcement made by Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday, New York Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau was questioned.
Shortly after it was announced that Julius Randle would require treatment on his right shoulder, so missing the rest of the season, the Knicks showed they could still be a strong team without him.
Despite suffering a damaged right wrist, Josh Hart managed to score 14 of 19 points, grab eight rebounds, and dish out eight assists. Meanwhile, Donte DiVincenzo displayed his skill by scoring 21 points.
Julius Randle Discusses His Realization That He Needs Surgery
A crushing blow was handed to the New York Knicks before to their game versus the Sacramento Kings. Their All-Star forward Julius Randle will have surgery, thereby ending his season, after recovering from a shoulder injury for two months.
Due to a shoulder dislocation, Randle has not been able to play since January 27. After providing an update on his injuries, Randle explained the reasons for his choice to have surgery and end his season early. The Knicks star stated the following over the phone with NBA expert Chris Haynes:
“What caused me to finally go through with surgery was 5 weeks ago, I went through a full-contact session & reinjured my shoulder.”
Randle allegedly made great progress towards his rehabilitation and had hoped to be back by the playoffs, but he re-injured his shoulder during a full-contact workout last month.
