The NBA postseason is usually the most unpredictable, but that wasn’t the case Saturday night. LeBron James had no choice but to watch his team lose in Game 1 to the formidable Denver Nuggets.

Skipp Bayless the popular LeBron critic known worldwide for his outlandish takes on the Lakers ace was quick to react to the loss. He posted a 1-minute 49-second-long video on his official social media account on x criticizing the Lakers star for his actions in the game.

For many LeBron supporters, Skipp’s tirades of criticism may have become the norm after all these years. However, this time ‘the undisputed’ host may have crossed the line with his words. “LeBron James can be such a Diva. I just watched him play the last 9 minutes at Denver and take two shots when the game was completely over,” said Skipp.

He criticized the Lakers star for not being proactive in the final quarter of the game especially when an opportunity to cut the lead presented itself. “How could anybody watch something like that and think this guy was the GOAT? Do you think Kobe (Bryant) would have done that? Do you think (Michael) Jordan would have done that? It was just an embarrassment and it was just so LeBron James.

Skip also targeted D’Angelo Russell, who had a mediocre performance on Saturday night. The undisputed host compared Bron to game legends like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, criticizing him for his non-involvement at the forefront of the offense. King James played a more playmaking role in the final quarter, which might have cost the Lakers the game as his teammates choked their scoring chances.

Denver Nuggets take Game 1 from LeBron James led Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers confidently marched into Denver with ambitions to avenge their Western Conference final loss. Nevertheless, the Denver Nuggets delivered them a crushing loss as they won 103-114 in the end. The Purple and Gold started the match strongly and established an early lead in the first quarter. However, things started to fall apart as the Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray outscored them in the following quarters.

The Lakers had numerous opportunities to decrease the deficit in the contentious final quarter, giving them the potential to force overtime or win by a narrow margin. However, the players choked in those situations, eventually losing Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs to the Nuggets.
