Shiela Guo, sister of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, is now being detained at the facility located within the Senate premises.

According to a post by the Philippine star, Shiela arrived at the detention facility on Monday, August 26, after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) transferred custody to the Senate Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms.

As per PTV’s post, she also underwent inventory and medical test.

To recall, Shiela and Cassandra Li Ong were brought back to the Philippines on Thursday, August 22, after their arrest in Indonesia. Ong is the incorporator of Lucky South 99, which operates the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) in Porac, Pampanga.

Shiela and Ong are facing complaints of obstruction of justice, harboring a fugitive, and violation of the Philippine Passport Act.

Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.

The mugshot of Shiela Guo, sister of Alice Guo, is making rounds on social media. As seen in the mugshot released by Bureau of Immigration, Shiela carries a sign board with her Chinese name, Zhang Mier. As per a post by GMA News, she is currently facing a deportation case for undesirability and misrepresentation.

Earlier, Alice Guo’s photo at Kuala Lumpur International Airport is making the rounds on social media. The picture was taken on July 21 before she flew to Singapore. In the photo from Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), Guo was seen together with a female companion. Just recently, two of Guo’s companions were arrested in Indonesia.
