The 2024 NFL Draft is set to take place tonight in Detroit after a long, nearly 3-month wait since the Super Bowl. NFL fans will finally find out where their favorite NFL prospect will end up playing the first few seasons of their career.
There aren’t many players who are more intriguing than Michigan Wolverines quarterback JJ McCarthy, who just won a National Championship with the team while being coached by current Chargers head coach Jon Harbaugh.
McCarthy will be celebrating with family and friends after his name is called within the top ten picks of tonight’s draft and his longtime girlfriend, Katya Kuropas, will be in attendance as her now-fiancee finds out where they are headed.

Katya first went viral after she was spotted in the stands a 2022 college football playoff game, cheering on her then boyfriend, and her social media has been growing since then. She eventually revealed that they were engaged earlier this year with an Instagram post.
The caption read “Me, You & Marley Forever & Ever,” followed by a star emoji and white heart emoji, as they posed with their dog, who is obviously named Marley. 2024 is shaping up to be one of the best years of the young quarterback’s life.
McCarthy will be a good fit for any NFL team with a bridge quarterback. He could need as much as three years of learning experience behind an established quarterback, as many analysts believe he is not as polished as many others, but he still has a high upside.
