NBA fans are feeling it for former NBA star Nate Robinson following a very worrying prognosis from the only three-time Slam Dunk champion in league history.
Robinson, who spent 11 years in the NBA and played for eight teams, revealed he has been searching for a kidney for four years, having been diagnosed with renal kidney failure, and would not remain alive for more than two weeks without dialysis.
Robinson told the Daily Mail he needs to find a kidney soon, or he will not be around much longer.
“I know that I don’t have long if I can’t get a kidney,” he said. “I know I’m not going to have long to live. So I just want to make the best of it as much as I can.”
Despite the ordeal, Robinson is happy he can withstand dialysis as some people’s bodies reject it. He told the publication he goes in for treatment three times a week for four hours a day and can’t afford to miss one.
“Some people’s body reject dialysis,” he continued. “And thank God that mine accepts it and I can live… if I didn’t go to dialysis, I wouldn’t live probably longer than a week or two. So it’s serious, can’t miss a day. I go in for four hours, three days a week, four hours a day. And they clean my blood to get my toxins out. And they help me out a lot because that’s how I’m living.”
Fans Are Praying For Nate Robinson
Nate Robinson’s startling revelation brought out some emotions on social media, with plenty of fans showing him support after seeing his quotes.

Robinson, 39, was warned of the possibility of kidney failure back when he was playing for the New York Knicks in 2006 as he had high blood pressure.
He went on to have a great career in the NBA. As noted above, he is the only player to win the Slam Dunk Contest on three occasions.
Robinson scored 6,807 points over the course of his 11-year career before playing abroad and in the BIG3.
