The Dallas Cowboys have recently signed now-veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott for a second stint with the team. This was after Tony Pollard signed with the Tennessee Titans after rushing for over 1,000 yards, leaving the Cowboys’ running back room in shambles.
Rumors have been swirling that the Cowboys may be willing to give up future assets in a trade for the younger running back in Harris after they didn’t pick up a running back in the 2024 NFL Draft, which shocked many fans.
However, there is a slight flaw in that theory as Dallas is reportedly Super Bowl or bust this season after they brought back the aforementioned Elliott, and those draft picks could help the team if they fail at their goal this season.
Najee Harris May Not Be A Fit On Cowboys Roster
Considering everything, there is only one possible way that the Cowboys would consider trading for Harris, this being a one-for-one, offering up Zeke. The issue is that there is seemingly no way the Steelers would be willing to give up the younger running back.
Compare that to Harris’ 1,035 yards and eight touchdowns in just 255 attempts throughout his 2023 campaign—a stark contrast. The Steelers would not trade Harris to the Dallas Cowboys unless Massive compensation was involved.
