Jaylen Brown had no choice but to applaud the efforts of the Heat players in a post-game interview. “I tip my hat off to the Heat. They shot the ball incredibly well,” said Brown. He admitted that his opponents played great basketball. The Heat had suffered a disappointing loss against the Celtics in Game 1 of the first-round playoffs. We anticipated a robust comeback in Game 2.
However, no one really expected them to defeat the Celtics without their star player, Jimmy Butler. “Guys that we wanted shooting the ball were hitting them. We simply could not get them to miss. We thought they were decent closeouts, but credit goes to those guys. They came out, they played fast, they played hard, and they had a record-breaking night,” said Brown.
He highlighted that the Celtics were inefficient in stopping the Heat players from scoring. He concluded his remarks by complimenting his opponents again, demonstrating his great sportsmanship.
The Celtics fall against a Butler less Miami Heat
The Miami Heat might have pulled off the biggest upset of this year’s NBA playoffs. After losing in Game 1, the Miami Heat entered Game 2 with revenge on their minds. They delivered an exceptional performance on Wednesday night. The Heat scored a franchise-high 23 three-pointers, demolishing the Celtics from beyond the arc.
Tyler Herro led the Miami Heat with a team-high 24 points and 14 assists. He also sank six three-pointers, showcasing his absolute shooting prowess beyond the arc. On the other hand, the Celtics excelled offensively with their starters but struggled when they rested. Jaylen Brown had a game-high 33 points, while Jayson Tatum scored 28. Now that the Heat have secured Game 2, they will be looking to win the series.
