The city of Oklahoma hosted the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday for Game 1 of the first round of the of the NBA playoffs. It was an important game for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his squad as the OKC made it to the playoffs for the first time in 4 years.

It meant a lot for the fans in the city as well. They had been waiting for a long time to see their team play in the playoffs, and it was all thanks to the hardworking players of the OKC. The game was a tough one but Oklahoma pulled through. After the game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander did not forget to thank the fans for their amazing support in the arena.

He expressed his gratitude at a post-game conference. “It was amazing! It was exactly what I had expected. I have said this so many times; even when I wasn’t here and I played here, the arena was always electric. They always had so much energy and they were perfect!” said Shai, showing his gratitude.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the entire OKC squad were very happy to bag game 1 of the series against the Pelicans. The crowd went electric and blue and orange confetti was all around in the air after the final buzzer. It was a bit too much celebration for winning Game 1 of the series but it is understandable as the fans have waited a long time for the playoff experience.

Thunder vs. Pelicans was a thrilling neck-to-neck game where the tides could have turned in the favor of any team. It was a two-point game till the very end. CJ McCollum had the opportunity to force the game into overtime but choked in the final possession, eventually losing the game with a close score of 92-94.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered an outstanding performance; he scored 28 points, collected 6 rebounds, and provided 4 assists to lead his team to victory. Other OKC players supported their ace pretty well in terms of offense. While in defense, all OKC members were great at dealing with the Pelicans.
