The Los Angeles Lakers will be taking on the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA playoffs, and Josiah Johnson cannot contain his excitement. The executive producer and co-host of the Gilbert Arenas show appeared on the ‘Handles’ on NBA TV.

He expressed his excitement as a Lakers fan on the show and provided a fan’s perspective on the first-round matchup. “I am a rational and reasonable LeBron (James) and Lakers fan. We know that we have lost eight straight games to the (Denver) Nuggets, We know that we lost to them in the Western Conference finals in a minimum amount of games allowed for a team to advance… but it is a new year, Darwin Ham got his hand out of his pockets, he is ready to get things going, he is coaching at another level,” said Johnson.

As a Lakers fan, he accepted the recent defeats at the hands of the Nuggets. However, he also remarked that it is a new year and credited the Lakers head coach, Darwin Ham, for incredible coaching this season. Josiah also shed some light on D’Angelo Russell and expressed his expectations from the Lakers star.

The most important thing in this series is that we know what Joker’s gonna do, we know what Jamal Murray’s gonna do what is D’Lo’s gonna do? D’Angelo Russell has upped his game. He can play really solid, he had a tough Western Conference finals against them last season. I think D’Lo is probably ready… LeBron and AD have been the healthiest they have been since being a Lakers… It all starts Saturday against the Nuggets, we are taking Game 1,” added Josiah to his previous statements.

What are the chances of the Lakers taking Game 1 from the Nuggets?

The Los Angeles Lakers will go against the mighty Denver Nuggets on Saturday in game 1 of the first round of the Playoffs. The general vibe in the community is in favor of the Nuggets, as they have proven their dominance this season. The Lakers could not defeat them in any matchup this season, and now they will be playing a four-game series against them.

However, the Lakers currently are in great form and can snatch victory from the Nuggets in game 1. Like Josiah Johnson said earlier, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are in great shape. In addition to that, D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves are also waiting to avenge their Western Conference finals loss. However, only time will tell if they can get past the mighty Nuggets.
