In the recent episode of ‘Inside the NBA on TNT,’ Charles Barkley, a former NBA player and current NBA analyst, shared his thoughts on the Boston Celtics’ home games following their tough loss against the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the 2023-24 NBA Playoffs.

“This was a shocker to me; it started in the last game. When you’re up 34, and you let them back into the game, you get from 34 to 12; they probably got some things going. But number one, you have to say to yourself, what the hell is going on when those guys play at home? For the talent they’ve had for the last four to five years, to be .500 at home is something. I don’t even know how to explain that, to be honest with you,” Barkley said during the latest episode of ‘Inside the NBA.’

The Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the playoffs, tying the series at 1-1. The Celtics, who were considered favorites to win at home, have struggled in recent playoffs, especially when playing on their home court.

In the previous two postseasons, their home record was 6-7, and this year was supposed to be different with their impressive regular season record of 37-4 at home. However, Wednesday’s loss has continued the Celtics’ playoff woes.

The Celtics lost their homecourt advantage in the series, but they plan to split the next two games in Miami to regain it. Although they dominated Game 1, they stumbled in Game 2.

However, the outcome of Game 3 on Saturday in Miami is more significant than the loss in Game 2. The Celtics have improved as a team, thanks partly to the addition of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis.
