Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla is set to join the Pagkakaisa concert, organized by the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, in Davao on June 7, 2024.

This event is a key initiative of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration, aimed at delivering essential services to underserved communities nationwide.

The announcement of Daniel’s participation was made by his mother, Karla Estrada, on May 21, 2024. She shared an Instagram story featuring an art card with Daniel’s photo and event details, captioned, “This is it! See you in Davao del Norte, June 7!”

The news has generated a wide range of reactions on social media, with many netizens expressing surprise. Daniel, previously known for his support of former presidential candidate Leni Robredo, is now seen aligning with a Marcos Jr. administration initiative.

Daniel, along with his former girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo, was an active supporter of Robredo during the 2022 presidential campaign. The couple participated in various campaign activities, including mural painting in Quezon City and attending Robredo’s miting de avance in Makati City. A photo of Daniel with director Mandy Reyes beside a car adorned with a Robredo poster also went viral, reinforcing his public support for the candidate.

Some netizens speculated that Daniel’s previous support for Robredo might have been influenced by Kathryn.

Others believe that Daniel’s latest move might be influenced by his mother Karla, a well-known supporter of President Marcos Jr. Regardless of the speculations, Daniel’s involvement in the Pagkakaisa concert highlights a significant shift and has sparked widespread discussion among his fans and the public.
