Jared Brown headlines TNT’s picks as 48 chosen in PBA Draft

MAKATI–Forty-eight out of 67 draft hopefuls heard their names being called to the stage of the Glorietta Activity Center as the PBA Draft came to a close on Sunday night.

All the 12 teams still got to pick in the third round before they passed from the proceedings one by one.

Converge drafted Ronan Santos with the 25th pick, the first in Round 3, while DJ Mitchell, touted as a sleeper first-rounder, went to Blackwater at number 26.

Terrafirma selected Peter Alfaro at number 27, while CJ Payawal was drafted by Phoenix at 28th overall.

NorthPort drafted Agem Miranda as the 29th pick, Xyrus Torres went to NLEX at 30, and TNT began joining the draft at 31st overall with Jared Brown.

Rain Or Shine took sports podcast host Darwish Bederi 32nd overall, while Magnolia took RV Berjay 33rd.

Paul Garcia went to Ginebra at 34, while JP Maguliano (35th by Meralco) and Abdul Sawat (36th by San Miguel) rounded out the third round.

The Bossing finished their turn in the draft by taking Keith Pido in the fourth round, while the Fuel Masters drafted two more players, Chino Mosqueda and Patrick Feliciano, before passing from the draft.

Controversial center Germy Mahinay, hardworking forward John Oduba, and heady guard Robbi Darang went to the Batang Pier as their last selections.

At the same time, the Road Warriors drafted Denzel Wong and Adrian Partosa next.

Mark Cruz went to the Tropang Giga as their last pick, while Ry Dela Rosa will reunite with his Kuya Rome at the Hotshots’ camp.

The Bolts used their last pick on Jordan Bartlett, while Ralph Robin went to the Beermen.

Darang got the honor of being the last player drafted to the PBA being NorthPort’s sixth-round pick.

Notable players not drafted on Sunday night include CJ Charlesworth, Pio Longa, David Penney, and Jielo Razon.

The 19 total players not chosen will automatically become free agents and can be signed by any team.
