Amid swirling rumors of a budding romance between actor Jericho Rosales and Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo, Rosales has set the record straight regarding his relationship status.

In an exclusive interview with MJ Felipe, Rosales disclosed that he is not currently on the lookout for a new love interest this year.

When asked if finding new love was part of his plans for 2024, Rosales bluntly responded with a “No,” adding that it’s “too early for that.”

Speculation about a potential romantic connection between Rosales and Bernardo arose after talent manager and showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz reported that Rosales was allegedly courting Bernardo, based on information from the actress’s camp.

Aside from Rosales, Kapuso actor Richard Alden was also said to be expressing interest in Bernardo.

The rumors gained traction after Rosales and Bernardo were spotted together during a nighttime jog, with a photo of them uploaded by a netizen quickly going viral.

However, in a subsequent interview with ABS-CBN News, Bernardo clarified that she was accompanied by Rosales’s nephew, John Manalo, during the outing.

While Rosales has been seen frequently with Bernardo at various events, including Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez’s gender reveal party, and Bernardo’s birthday celebration in El Nido, Palawan, the actor maintains that they are just friends.

Rosales’s relationship status has been a topic of interest since his separation from his former wife, Kim Jones, in 2019. Meanwhile, Bernardo confirmed her split from long-time partner Daniel Padilla in November 2023.
