John Estrada denounces fake news after controversial boracay vacation

Actor John Estrada has taken to social media to condemn “fake news” peddlers who have allegedly fabricated statements using his name following his controversial vacation in Boracay.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Estrada shared a screenshot from the Facebook page Zumba Dance Chis’mis and promptly debunked it as “fake news.”

The post featured a photo of Estrada and his wife, Priscilla Meirelles, alongside a purported tweet from an X (formerly Twitter) account named @johnestrada__. The fabricated tweet read: “Lalake ako, maraming nagkakagusto sakin kasi matipuno at gwapo tayo. Anong magagawa ko kung tukso na yung lumalapit, edi tukain!”

Estrada clarified that the account @johnestrada__ does not exist and that his real X handle, @John_Estrada, has been dormant since 2018.

In another Instagram Story, Estrada warned the purveyors of fake news of potential legal action. Over another couple photo with the same fabricated tweet, he wrote, “Fake news,” and added, “Magkita tayo sa korte soon. Kung sino ka man.”

These developments come in the wake of Priscilla’s cryptic comment on one of John’s Boracay posts, where she wrote, “Looking very divorced, Mr. Estrada,” tagging an account @Lily Hallman_. Priscilla also tagged the same username in a response to a netizen asking about John’s companion in Boracay.

In a previous interview on ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,’ Priscilla discussed the state of her marriage with John and the issues they faced last year. She stated that while they are still married and had recently been enjoying each other’s company, she had reached her limit. “So alam niya nasa limit na ko. So whatever happens from this point on it’s on him. I’ve done my part,” she said.

John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles were married in 2011 and have a daughter, Sammanta Anechka, who was born in 2012.
