Kathryn Bernardo’s recent win at the 72nd FAMAS Awards has filled her mother, Min Bernardo, with immense pride. Min took to Instagram to share a video of Kathryn holding her award, accompanied by her family.
Min recounted the challenges Kathryn has faced and overcome, highlighting her resilience. “Remembering how you faced every struggle and challenge na napagdaanan mo/natin as family. Watching you overcome everything and grow into an amazing person you are has been one of our greatest blessings,” she added.
Min also praised Kathryn’s strength and determination. “I never knew how strong you are until I saw your determination and how you bounce back every after fall. You remained positive and kind to the world no matter what.”
Encouraging Kathryn to keep striving for her dreams, Min said, “If you have a dream, never let go of it, dont give up till the end. Make yourself your own competition. Always keep that spirit that brought you this far! Andito lang kami para sayo. You have earned every bit of this success!!”

Kathryn was awarded Best Actress for her performance in the film ‘A Very Good Girl’ at the 2024 FAMAS Awards, held last Sunday. This accolade marks a significant milestone in her career.
This is Kathryn’s first FAMAS Best Actress award. She previously won the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award in 2011.
In a notable tie, Piolo Pascual (‘Mallari’) and Alfred Vargas (‘Pieta’) shared the Best Actor award.
‘Mallari’ emerged as the biggest winner of the night, securing six awards, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Gloria Diaz, Best Screenplay, Best Production Design, and Best Visual Effects.
