In an interview with host Melai Francisco, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu speaks about she handles heartbreaks.

There’s no single approach in handling a breakup. Healing and moving on is varied from person to person. It takes a lot of time and you can’t expect to have a mended heart after a night of crying but no matter how hard it gets, there are ways to ease the process.

As for actress Kim Chiu, she also has her own way in dealing a heartbreak. As much as we all know, she just got out from over a decade relationship. Xian Lim and Kim announced their split last year and it was an announcement that broke many hearts. With the length of their relationship, their supporters were already expecting that what was to come next was their engagement.

According to Xian, it was Kim who initiated the split.

In dealing with a heartbreak, the actress shared her ways on how she does it during an interview with Melai Francisco. She was the guest of the pilot episode of the Visayan mainstream talk show “Kuan On One” with Melai.

According to her, despite being a public figure, she would often opt to resolve personal matters like this privately. She can also be professional at work and won’t even dare to bring her problems at work. She can deal with it later on once she’s done with her commitments.

She also believes that being transparent and voicing the pain can help relieve it somehow.

“Kung [gusto mo dalhin mo] ang problema sa kung nasaan ka, pwede naman to show vulnerability pero hindi lagi. Malay mo meron pang mas mabigay na problema ‘yung isa doon, hindi lang siya nagsasalita. Pero ang importante rin na mayroon kang kausap, para hindi ka mabaliw,” she said.

But for her, the most important thing is to never deny it. She believes that fully accepting what happened that is meant to happen is one way to move on.
