“Linlang” lead stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are bound for Birmingham, United Kingdom for the “Linlang Pasasalamat Show” on June 30 at the Woodgate Valley Country Park.

ABS-CBN News caught up with Chiu and Avelino at the airport before they wrap up the last leg of the “Linlang” thanksgiving shows abroad.

“Looking forward kami, ibang country, ibang lugar na naman siya. Looking forward kami na makilala, mapasaya sila,” Chiu said. “Itong buong June month, nag-iikot kami sa probinsya, sa international. It’s also our way of saying thank you to all of them for supporting our show.”

“Ang dami nating mga kapamilya at kababayan all around the world, so we’re happy that we get to around and perform and bring happiness,” added Avelino.

The on-screen couple just came from Dubai as well as Agusan del Sur, Sorsogon, and Surigao among others. In Dubai, they shared photos and videos showing off their bonding moments through jogging. We asked them who influenced who?

“Jogging is the easiest way to exercise. Masarap sa ibang bansa kasi bagong tanawin yung nakikita mo, mas nakikilala mo rin ‘yung lugar,” Avelino said.

The actor said he learned about Chiu’s active lifestyle way back, when she and Jake Cuenca used to train for a triathlon. Avelino admitted he was impressed.

Chiu, for her part, said it just so happened that both of them love to jog. “Tumatakbo na talaga ako, tapos tumatakbo rin pala siya, ‘yun nga lang mas mabilis siya tumakbo. Nagkataon lang, parehas kami ng hobbies siguro. Tatakbo ka? Tatakbo rin ako, tara!”

Another fan-fave moment in Dubai was when Avelino acted as photographer to Chiu.

“Lagi niyang sinasabi na mas magaling siyang photographer kesa sa akin,” she said.

To which heo jokingly replied, “Magaling lang siya gumamit ng filter.”

As a side note: Comparing their dynamics during this interview, to our very first interview with them during the “Linlang” press junket last year, Chiu and Avelino, obviously, are more comfortable teasing, talking and sharing their moments together now.

We also asked Avelino about their trending jumpshot in Albay with the picture-perfect Mayon Volcano in the background. He said, “Lagi naman nagpapakita sa akin ang Mayon!”

In a teasing playful tone, Chiu replied: “Lagi niyang sinasabi ‘yun, uy minsan lang daw magpakita ‘yan sa mga taong mababait lang daw, sabi niya sa akin lagi ko naman nakikita ng buo ‘yan eh”

Lastly, we asked the two to finally set the record straight about the “hintayan” issue. Rumor went around that the two would wait for each other after taping even though one of them is done for the day. This happened during their taping for “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?” and their director Chad Vidanes confirmed this “hintayan” blues.

Chiu agreed with him, but we had to ask Avelino if there’s truth to the rumor that he would drive Chiu home? “Layo ng bahay ni Kim. After ng taping I’m sure pagod na kami pareho, direcho na (pauwi).”
