Actress Kim Chiu shared an entertaining anecdote about her impromptu trip to Singapore to attend Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ and the humorous exchange it sparked with her co-star Paulo Avelino.

Chiu, amidst her hectic taping schedule for ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?’, decided to seize her lone day off to catch the global pop superstar’s concert in Singapore.

Despite initial reservations expressed by Avelino, who raised concerns about potential delays affecting their filming commitments, Chiu embarked on the spontaneous journey.

“Sabi ko kasi sa kanya, [pahingi ng] pasalubong. Feeling ko shirt niya ‘yun [‘yung binigay niya],” Avelino shared to ABS-CBN News.

Upon her return from Singapore, Chiu surprised Avelino with a black Taylor Swift shirt as a “pasalubong” or gift. Avelino, initially expecting a hoodie instead, engaged in playful banter with Chiu about her choice of souvenir, jokingly lamenting about not receiving pocket money for the trip.

“Of course not. Sabi niya, hoodie. Sabi ko handcarry lang ako,” said Chiu in response. “Hindi mo ako binigyan ng pocket money. Tapos hindi ko naman alam na susuotin niya kasi Taylor Swift. Parang very out of this world, di ko alam ‘yung mga paborito niyang banda.”

Despite Avelino’s initial surprise, he happily wore the black Taylor Swift shirt during their subsequent taping sessions. Chiu recounted the amusing moment, highlighting Avelino’s unexpected embrace of the Taylor Swift merchandise despite his unfamiliarity with the artist’s music.
