Kapamilya actress and It’s Showtime host, Kim Chiu, fell silent during the live episode of Tawag Ng Tanghalan, yesterday, November 15, when the conversation among her fellow hosts, Vhong Navarro and Amy Perez, and TNT contestant, Wilbur Cañanola, shifted to failed relationships, particularly the kind of relationship, called ‘situationship’.

Millenials and Gen Zs refer the kind of relationship where two individuals prefer not to label themselves as a a couple, despite having a ‘special affection’ for each other.

Having gone through previous relationships in her life, Chiu seemed to have understood what Cañanola was going through.

“Lower your expectations. Kasi, if you expect too much (from) that person, at the end of the day, ikaw din ang masasaktan” she told the TNT contestant.

Asked what advice she can give to those whose investment in a relationship did not work out, Chiu only has one thing to say: “Life goes on”, she shared, adding that there are good things and new relationships ahead, waiting to be discovered.

Tingin ka lang nang diretso, kasi ang haba haba pa ng daan” she went on.

Chiu’s relationship with long-time flame, Xian Lim, has been the subject of separation rumors. In a recent interview, she vehemently denied them and argued that her relationship with Lim has been stronger than ever.

“Okay naman po kami ni Xi. Mapanlinlang lang ang showbiz, pero maayos naman [kami]. Masaya naman po.” she said.
