Lead stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino of the much-anticipated series ‘Linlang’ participated in a virtual media conference despite testing positive for COVID-19.

The actors are currently working on the Philippine adaptation of the popular K-drama series ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?’

‘Linlang,’ originally streamed on Prime Video, is scheduled to premiere on free television on January 22. Director FM Reyes revealed that the streaming version only used 40% of the filmed content, promising exciting and unforgettable scenes.

In a playful segment called ‘Yiz or Wit,’ Chiu and Avelino were asked if they had ever been deceived in love.

Chiu candidly acknowledged that everyone has experienced deception in love, considering it a part of life and growth. She encouraged embracing the pain and learning from such experiences.

“Lahat naman tayo, naloko sa pag-ibig. Kasi wala nagmahal ka eh, siyempre mashoo-shoot ka talaga sa mundo ng kalokohan. Pero that’s part of life, part of growth. So embrace the pain, and learn something from that experience and then you are good to go!” Chiu said.

Avelino shared that he, too, had been fooled in love when he was younger, emphasizing the lessons learned from the experience.

“Nangyari sa akin a long time ago. I was young, she was young. And marami naman akong natutunan doon and thankful naman ako na nangyari sa akin and I had to experience it,” he said.

Responding to whether she’s ready to fall in love again after her recent breakup with longtime boyfriend Xian Lim, Chiu expressed optimism.

She stated, “Oo naman. ‘Di man sa ngayon muna, pero hopefully in the next months to come”. Chiu conveyed her openness to receiving love, emphasizing the importance of embracing love in life.

Chiu confirmed her breakup with Lim before the new year and expressed her readiness to move on. ‘Linlang’ is set to air on Kapamilya channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, A2Z, and iWantTFC starting January 22, following ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.’
