MANILA — Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang is all set to make his debut in ONE Championship’s main roster.

A month after snagging a $100,000 contract, the Team Lakay star will take on Asa “The American Ninja” Ten Pow in a three-round bantamweight MMA bout at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on August 3 inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

“The Bull” had lived up to his nickname in his five fights in the One Friday Fights series, scoring four finishes.

Against Chayan Oorzhak, he finally punched his ticket to ONE, submitting the red-hot Russian in the second-round to get the coveted contract.

In the main roster, he plans to leave his mark.

“This feeling is unbelievable,” Bumina-ang said. “All the hardships that I’ve gone through, the sacrifices that I made, it’s all worth [it] now that I’ve reached this level and I got the contract. But it doesn’t end here.”

However, he expects to have a tricky debut fight, as he welcomes Ten Pow to MMA after the latter competed under the ONE banner in Muay Thai.

“The American Ninja” won his last two fights in Muay Thai and will look to play matador to the raging bull as Bumina-ang attempts to run him over.

Bumina-ang and his team know that he won’t face a pushover in Ten Pow, but they are confident that “The Bull” has more things in his arsenal for this fight.

“Knowing that Carlo’s a finisher, they probably gave him someone who can match that level of striking,” his head coach Mark Sangiao said.

“I believe in Carlo’s striking, but I’m even more confident given that this is an MMA fight. I don’t want to count chickens before they hatch but I have full faith Carlo will win and finish Asa Ten Pow.”

Knowing that he can make an impression, especially since his fight will air live in U.S. primetime, Bumina-ang vows to put on a show.

“For all the fans who haven’t seen me yet, you can expect pure excitement each time I step in the ring. I want to ‘wow’ these people with my performances,” he said.

“I want to show them that I belong in the big league,” he said. “Here comes ‘The Bull.'”
