Nadine Lustre has responded to rumors regarding her potential contract renewal with ABS-CBN.

During an interview with entertainment reporter MJ Marfori, Lustre shared her thoughts on the speculation.

“We’ll see,” Nadine said when asked about the possibility of re-signing with the network. “I mean, at the end of the day, it’s really just about the right timing and the right project,” she added.

Marfori further pressed if there was an offer from the Kapamilya network. Nadine replied, “Mayroon namang nagpi-pitch. There are pitches pero mag-aantay lang din ako. I’m not rushing. As much as possible this year I promise myself na hindi ako tatanggap ng masyadong maraming work because it’s really hard to focus on one thing.”

The actress emphasized, “Ako talaga for this year, ang promise ko talaga sa sarili ko is work more on music and business talaga.”

Rumors about a major actress signing with ABS-CBN have been circulating for weeks. Recently, Nadine Lustre’s name surfaced as the potential signee following a tweet from Dreamscape AdProm head Eric John Salut. Salut tweeted, “Bigla kong naisip and na-miss si Nadine Lustre,” accompanied by a violet heart emoji, a symbol often associated with Dreamscape projects.

One netizen responded to Salut’s tweet, expressing hope for Nadine’s return. Salut replied, “I know! Feeling ko, may bago syang maibibigay in a teleserye. Kaka-miss no?”

This exchange has fueled speculation that Nadine might sign with ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment for a new project to be released on a streaming app. Nadine’s last two teleseryes, ‘On The Wings of Love’ and ‘Till I Met You,’ were produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and starred her with former boyfriend and love team partner James Reid.

Although Nadine has been busy with her film and music careers, fans are eager for her return to teleseryes, a beloved staple of Filipino television. Her last teleserye was seven years ago, and a planned comeback in 2020 was interrupted by the pandemic and ABS-CBN’s shutdown.
