Fans were abuzz with excitement following Pepe Herrera’s revelation that Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu share a remarkable chemistry akin to that of a married couple while on set.

During the grand media conference for their upcoming series ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim’ held last Saturday (March 9) at Quantum Skyview in Gateway 2 Mall, Araneta City, Cubao, Quezon City, Kim and Paulo’s on-screen chemistry stole the show.

In an impromptu performance by some cast members, including theater actor Pepe Herrera, Pepe humorously remarked that the song he chose felt like it could be Paulo’s anthem for Kim in real life, citing Paulo’s fondness for Parokya ni Edgar.

“Gusto ni Pau (Paulo) ang Parokya ni Edgar. Feeling ko isa to sa mga kanta ni BMC para kay Secretary Kim… in real life,” Pepe shared. “Sa totoo lang kinikilig talaga kami sa kanila, kay Paulo at saka kay Kim. Kasi kung lolokohin nila kami at sasabihin nilang matagal na silang magkasintahan, maniniwala kami. Actually para silang mag-asawa sa set.”

During Pepe’s remarks, Paulo held his hand, and Kim gestured for him to stop speaking when he mentioned “Like a married couple.”

Pepe’s rendition of Parokya ni Edgar’s ‘Halaga’ saw him holding hands with Kim and Paulo, further intensifying the excitement among fans.

The heartwarming interactions between Kim and Paulo, including Paulo leaving a stuffed toy between them and sitting close to Kim, delighted fans and fueled their anticipation for the series.

Kim commended Paulo for his professionalism and willingness to explore the romantic-comedy genre, which differs from his previous projects. She also expressed admiration for Paulo’s commitment to their on-screen partnership.

Based on the teasers and trailers released for ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,’ Paulo’s seamless transition into the rom-com genre and the palpable chemistry between him and Kim have garnered significant anticipation among fans.

The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform Viu on March 18, promising viewers an exciting and romantic journey with the KimPau tandem.
