Actress-host Ruffa Gutierrez says she is not affected by John Lloyd Cruz’s denial that he has been calling her, PEP.ph reports. The young actor, whom Gutierrez had a “special relationship” with, was reported to have said he doesn’t call her anymore, not even as a friend.

In response, Gutierrez said she is neither hurt nor affected, according to PEP.ph. “If JL (John Lloyd) says we’re not talking, maybe he has some issues he needs to cover up and things he needs to protect. I respect that… We’re no longer together so he can say whatever he wants.” She added, “Whether he calls me or not is not a big issue. And hindi naman sa ikahahaba ng hair ko kung tumatawag siya o hindi.”

Rumored to be the cause of Cruz’s rocky relationship with his girlfriend Shaina Magdayao, Gutierrez said, “Leave me out of the equation…I don’t know anything about that.” She added, “(The rumors don’t) irritate me; nothing irritates me. My God, life is so beautiful! Why be negative about anything? It’s not like it’s disgusting to be linked to John Lloyd.”

Gutierrez also clarified reports that she has broken up with Smartmatic’s Cesar Flores. “How could we have broken up when we’re not even a couple in the first place? After John Lloyd, I haven’t been in a relationship with anyone.”
