Veteran actor Jericho Rosales has confirmed that he is dating his ‘Lavender Fields’ co-star, Janine Gutierrez.

The revelation came during a press interview on Tuesday, where Rosales opened up about his feelings for the Kapamilya actress.

Rosales shared that his initial involvement in the project was fueled by his admiration for the production team, but it quickly became clear that his interest in Gutierrez was growing. “I first decided to join the show talaga because I was really, really so into the production team and everyone and then I realized that I was so into her,” Rosales admitted. He went on to praise Gutierrez, calling her “an amazing person, very sweet, very kind, very funny, and a very dedicated, good actress.”

When asked directly if they were dating, Rosales responded affirmatively, saying, “Yes, we’re going out.” He emphasized that he is currently enjoying their time together, adding, “We’ll see, we shall see. You expect good things about it. It’s a really, really nice and happy … things are great. There’s no negativity around. It’s fun, you gotta enjoy this fire, flame, whatever it is.”

Gutierrez, in response to Rosales’ remarks, expressed her excitement about working with him on ‘Lavender Fields.’ She shared that she had hoped Rosales would be her co-star from the beginning. “When na-pitch pa lang sa ‘kin ‘tong show, they hadn’t mentioned any person yet, sabi ko sana si Jericho, ta’s ni-kwento ko rin ‘yun kay Echo when we first met, na ‘I’m so happy it’s you’,” she recalled telling him.

The actress also confirmed their romantic involvement, stating, “I guess so. Yeah, it’s been fun getting to know him and hanging out with him outside of work so masaya naman.”

Despite their characters often being at odds in the series, Gutierrez noted that their off-screen relationship is quite the opposite. “He’s really nice and funny and sobrang okay siyang kausap and everybody knows that he’s such a good actor and na-enjoy ko rin ‘yung mga eksena namin together which is funny kasi most of our scenes magkaaway kami,” she said. “Masaya na off cam it’s the opposite. I think he’s great.”

The confirmation of their relationship has thrilled fans, who are eagerly anticipating the on-screen chemistry between Rosales and Gutierrez in ‘Lavender Fields.’
