Kim Domingo has shared insights into how her Kapuso bosses reacted to her guest appearance on ABS-CBN’s hit series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ revealing their supportive and congratulatory responses.

In a recent interview on Luis Manzano’s YouTube vlog ‘Luis Listens,’ Domingo discussed her surprise at being cast in the popular series and the positive feedback she received from her home network, GMA Network.

Domingo, who remains a contract artist with GMA Network, confirmed that her role in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ is a temporary arrangement. She expressed gratitude to GMA Network for allowing her to take on this new opportunity while maintaining her loyalty to the network. “I’m very grateful din siyempre to my network (GMA Network) na napagbigyan na makatawid (sa ABS-CBN),” Domingo said.

Regarding her Kapuso bosses’ reactions, Domingo shared that they were enthusiastic and supportive of her appearance on the show. “Nag-congrats sila sa akin lalo na ang mga bosses,” Domingo noted. Their encouragement underscores the network’s supportive stance on its artists pursuing diverse opportunities across the industry.

Domingo’s involvement in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ was described as a significant and unexpected opportunity. She detailed the rigorous preparation she underwent, including training for action scenes and handling weapons, adding that the role represents a new and exciting challenge for her.

She also recounted how she was approached for the role at an event with many ABS-CBN personalities. “Unexpected kasi nag-start talaga ‘yan nag-guest ako sa isang event na hindi ko alam na halos lahat pala ng nandu’n ay from ABS and then usap-usap (tsikahan with other guests) may nagsabi na, ‘alam mo bagay ka sa Batang Quiapo, kung bibigyan ka ba ng chance okay ka?’,” Domingo explained.

The actress also acknowledged the role of social media in promoting her character and the show’s success. Despite the initial confusion among fans, who thought Jessy Mendiola-Manzano was joining the series, Domingo clarified that it was indeed her role.
