An arrest warrant has been issued for Kansas City Chiefs superstar wide receiver Rashee Rice for his involvement in a six-car crash last month.

According to Rebecca Lopez and Paul Livengood of WFAA in Dallas, police have issued a warrant for Rashee Rice’s arrest. The second-year wide receiver faces an alarming eight charges for his involvement in the accident that caused injuries to four people:

“An arrest warrant has been issued for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection to his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 75 in Dallas in late March, sources tell WFAA.

Rice, 23, now faces eight charges in the case — six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault, according to the arrest warrant. All of the charges are felonies.”

Rice’s attorney stated last week that the Super Bowl 58-winning wide receiver was indeed the driver of a Lamborghini that was involved in the accident, per WFAA. Rice’s friend, Theodore Knox, drove the Corvette involved in the crash. The report from WFAA noted that Knox is also facing charges.

Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured in the six-vehicle accident. As previously noted, four suffered minor injuries, and two were briefly hospitalized to have those treated.

Rashee Rice, who turns 24 years of age on Apr. 222, could face several years in prison if he’s convicted on the charges. He has three years remaining on the rookie contract that he signed with the Chiefs after being drafted last year.

Rashee Rice’s Promising NFL Career Is On Hold

The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Rice with the No. 55 pick in 2023, hoping that he could fill the void left by JuJu Smith-Schuster as the No. 1 wideout.

Rashee Rice emerged as Patrick Mahomes’ top wide receiver and No. 2 pass-catcher behind future Hall of Famer Travis Kelce. Rice finished his rookie year with 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns, helping Kansas City to an eighth straight AFC West division title.

Rice played a pivotal role in helping the Chiefs win Super Bowl 58, making them the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions in 19 years. In four postseason games, he hauled in 26 receptions for 262 yards and one touchdown.

But with Rice now facing eight charges, his once-promising NFL career is suddenly in jeopardy.
