Zach Wilson is finally on the move.

After months of rumors that his time with the New York Jets was over, the franchise finally traded him less than a week away from the NFL Draft.

On Monday, the Jets traded Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Rapoport further adds the two teams will swap late-round picks, with Denver giving up a sixth and getting back a seventh, while the Jets will also eat some of Wilson’s remaining $5.5 million guaranteed salary in 2024.

The 2021 first-round pick has been on the trade block the entire offseason, but the Jets found a ton of trouble finding a suitor willing to take him on. That entered the Denver Broncos, who are in need of a quarterback after they cut Russell Wilson.

After taking Zach Wilson with the second overall draft pick, he became one of the worst draft picks in Jets history. He’s thrown for 6,293 yards and 23 touchdowns against 25 interceptions during his three-year NFL career, posting a 12-21 record as a starter, via

His tenure with the team was supposed to last a possible additional year or two with Aaron Rodgers in town, but a week-one injury forced the team to put Wilson back in the starting lineup, and nothing with him had changed.

He was benched for bad play for the second straight season, and it signaled the end of his tenure.

Zach Wilson badly needed a new scenery and he gets it after being traded to the Denver Broncos.

He played terribly with the Jets, but now he will be free from the media capital of the country and relax while trying to find his game in Denver.
