The Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic is one of the best players in the league right now. He is currently the favorite to win this season’s MVP award. The NBA recently held a brief event where Jokic took part, and the Nuggets star responded to some of his plays.

He discussed his opinions on the well-known Sombor Shuffle, a move that the Joker himself originally invented. However, Nuggets play-by-play announcer Chris Marlowe gave it a name instead of Jokic. He named the move Sombor Shuffle because of Jokic’s birthplace, Sombor, Serbia.

This is a shot against AD (Anthony Davis); I kind of made a couple of these during the playoffs. I told the media that I was going to take it as my shot. This is my shot, my signature shot,” said the Joker, reacting to his plays from the previous playoffs.

The Sombor Shuffle is close to NBA Icon Dwirk Nowitzki’s fadeaway shot but differs slightly from it. Jokic often dribbles, loads up on his right leg, and releases a rainbow jumper headed toward the rim in a “Sombor Shuffle.” Even though he floats backward throughout the shot, he frequently releases the hold with a straight body.

Nikola Jokic leads the Nuggets to a Ninth consecutive win over the Lakers

The Joker led his team against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference playoff opener. The Nuggets were a little late to the party as the Lakers dominated the first half of the game. However, when the Nuggets got it going, there was no stopping them.

Nikola Jokic scored 32 points and collected 12 rebounds, leading his team to secure their ninth consecutive win over the Purple and Gold this season. They bugged game 1 of the series and would look forward to putting LeBron James’ side to rest and climbing to the NBA finals.
